Sept 20 - Make Your Own Cutting Board

Learn woodworking basics and how to create your own cutting board from talented local woodworker Jim Clapper.
All materials will be provided, including hard wood accent strips, glue, and sealing oil. You will be able to choose all of your wood pieces, assemble your board, and learn how to glue it together with clamps.
This class is beginner-friendly, but all levels are welcome.
After the workshop, Jim will take the boards back to his studio to sand them, and you'll be able to pick them up at The Local Hand on or after February 2.

About your instructor:
Jim Clapper is a Dorchester-based woodworker, currently working out of his woodshop in Hull, MA.
Workshop tickets are non-refundable, because we purchase all supplies ahead of time based on headcount. If you cannot make it, consider sending a friend in your place! In the event that a workshop is canceled due to instructor illness, inclement weather, low enrollment, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will notify all participants via email as soon as possible and issue a full refund.
