In this introductory class, participants will learn all the basics of knitting: casting on, knit & purl stitches, binding off, and blocking. Participants will also learn to swatch and complete a simple hat or scarf. Perfect for both folks new to knitting and those wanting to refresh their skills.
Starter needles and practice yarn provided, students will be given information about the kind of yarn to purchase for their final project.

About your Instructor: Lisa Graustein is a ceramicist, quilter and knitter living and working in Dorchester. She loves to play with color, line, and shape in her forms. Primarily a wheel-based potter, Lisa has recently started exploring hand-building and what can be created when thrown and hand-built forms are combined.
Workshop tickets are non-refundable, because we purchase all supplies ahead of time based on headcount. If you cannot make it, consider sending a friend in your place! In the event that a workshop is canceled due to instructor illness, inclement weather, low enrollment, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will notify all participants via email as soon as possible and issue a full refund.
