These handmade glass plates are stout with slightly curved edges.  They could also be used as a shallow bowl.  The texture beautifully highlights the veins of the maple leaf. These plates are perfect for appetizers or organizing.

Dimensions: approximately 8''

Maker: Kanch by Kolika (Somerville, MA)

Kolika is a self-taught glass artist from Somerville, known for her nature-inspired glasswork, asymmetric aesthetics, and stellar use of negative space. Kolika individually handcrafts each piece over multiple days, sometimes mimicking Nature, sometimes incorporating it. Drawing on a past career as a scientist, Kolika brings an experimental approach to her studio, gathering inspiration with an analytical, entrepreneurial spirit.

Kanch by Kolika can be found in museum shops, galleries, and specialty culinary stores throughout New England, and of course, in homes around the world. Let her lifelike leaves serve fresh bread, larger-than-life poppies hold appetizers, or let them quietly filter sunshine. Kanch (noun: glass) is for quiet mornings, as well as dinner tables full of laughter and love.
