Michaela Flatley is an artist, designer, and business owner. In 2019, she received her Masters in Fine Arts in Painting from MICA, where she extensively studied abstract geometry and the history of grids in both fine art and decorative objects. She continues to explore this theme in her recent paintings and drawings, which she creates in her home studio in Dorchester. Michaela is also a graphic designer, and serves a wide range of start-up and non-profit clients. In 2023, Michaela opened The Local Hand, a new retail and arts space in Dorchester, with a mission to make art more accessible to her community, while financially supporting other local artists and makers.
