Cara Finnerty Coleman was born and raised in Massachusetts, graduating in 2001 from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. With a focus on woodland creatures and their adventures across enchanted, dreamlike landscapes, Cara creates images that bring the viewer back to the magic and wonder of childhood when even the stars themselves are within reach. Little Bear Illustration is named after the artist's very own little bear, a small yet sturdy animal of questionable lineage. The Bear is her constant companion and together they have embarked upon many adventures. After years in the concrete jungle of New York City, these days the pair are situated by the sea in Massachusetts, taking in nature and finding inspiration wherever they roam.
