Join the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys (MBWA) at The Local Hand for a series of informative and free legal workshops. 

These workshops are designed to empower employers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders with the tools to navigate today’s evolving legal and political landscape.

This is part of a two-night series (Tuesday, May 27 and Wednesday, May 28) at The Local Hand.  You can register for one or both evenings! 

Wednesday's Agenda: 

5:00 - 5:30 PM - Welcome + Networking
Appetizers and beverages will be served.

5:30 - 6:30 PM - Contracts and Chapter 93A Business Litigation
Understand the building blocks of strong business contracts and what to do when disputes arise. This workshop also unpacks Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93A, which governs unfair and deceptive business practices—key knowledge for protecting your business from litigation.

6:30 - 7:45 PM - Protecting Your Intellectual Property
Your ideas, brand, and creative work are valuable assets. Learn how to safeguard trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and patents to protect your intellectual property from misuse and maximize its business potential.

7:45 - 8:00 PM - Closing Remarks

Employers, small business owners, nonprofit leaders, and anyone seeking to understand legal responsibilities and protections in the workplace.

Note: This workshop is designed for those who identify as women of color, but anyone is welcome to attend.
