This 5-hour workshop is a great introduction to basket weaving and structure. This class is designed for the individual who wants to try this craft without feeling overwhelmed.

You will learn how to make this beautiful tote bag basket, to use yourself or give someone special as a gift.

This beautiful large carry basket is created with rattan, using a simple weave and polypropylene webbing to add additional charm and strength. Despite the simple structure it can hold up to 30lbs, making it great for a quick run to the grocery store, going to the park/beach, etc.

Each student will select their own color of webbing and reed. There are six different webbing colors and over twelve reed colors to coordinate. 

The basket that you make measures 15” length, 9” wide and 10” high. 

Your ticket includes: 

• All materials for wall basket 
• Individualized instruction from William Krier, a local Dorchester basket weaver
• Light refreshments

All workshop participants will also receive 10% off any retail purchases made on the day of the class.
