Pottery was a love-at-first-sight thing for Sarah Mennell, though it took a bit longer to make it a regular part of her life. She first took a class in college, and the initial excitement of giving a lump of clay new life and purpose hasn’t gone away. Her work focuses around functional pieces that carry a sense of joy through playful touches and simple yet energetic designs. She loves the way something as simple as a cup can bring such happiness into everyday routines. She teaches classes and makes all of her work by hand in Boston.
