This year, we are putting a new spin on our gift wrapping workshop: we will learn how to use beautiful, seasonal fabrics to wrap holiday presents, instead of wrapping paper.
The method that we use will be based on Furoshiki, the Japanese art of gift wrapping with fabrics.
Join us on this Saturday morning for a cozy, festive event where you'll learn a new skill that is both sustainable and practical. Your gifts will be elegantly wrapped with reusable fabric, that will become part of the gift itself.
Each participant will be able to choose up to 6 pieces of fabric from our collection. Some are holiday-themed, while others are more generic and can be used all year long.
Bring your own gifts to wrap, or buy some at The Local Hand during the workshop.
Your ticket includes:
- Up to 6 pieces of fabric to use for wrapping (various sizes)
- Embellishments such as pine branches and ribbon to add to your gifts
- Coffee, tea, and pastries
- A tutorial and hands-on guidance on how to wrap gifts with fabric
Participants will also receive 10% off all shopping they do on the day of the workshop, in case you want to get some holiday shopping done first!
Limited spots available. Please purchase your ticket in advance to ensure we have enough supplies. Workshop tickets are non-refundable.
